I bet how hard this trip was .The Joads and wilsons they struggled to leave their homes, they struggle in the road with money food and weather, and addition to that they struggled with their truck when they had to spot and fix it.

Yeah, this trip musta been very hard. Especially when we think about all the modern day technology and luxuries we have that they didn't have... stuff that would've made the journey easier. These people are so motivating... hearing about all these people and their journey to Cali... just so crazy! I admire these people and the hardships they had to endure.

Reading about all of this and seeing it is so weird because this is what my great grandma lived though she lived through black sunday and the great depression and now I'm reading about it!

What a difference from then and now, we have alot of advance technology now but thinking about the 1930's alot of people struggled. we should be greatful for what we have. Their trip must of been hard also because it was a long trip and had alot of people in the truck.

What a gamble to venture out in the vehicles that these people had. Paper thin tires, just all around scrappy and crappy cars. Technology sure has come a long way, it's amazing to see how many people were determined to make those long, devastating trips to california.

There is such a huge difference in then verses now. It was so hard to make a trip across the country, but now just get in a plane and go. I know how it is to be fighting with your vehicle to keep it running, it definitely makes the trip hard!
