Housing Bubble Early Warnings Missed

Great videos... it was frustrating to me to think that we, as a nation, keep ignoring warning signs. We did that with the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression, the Credit Card Crisis, with House/Real Estate and I'm sure we're ignoring warnings this very minute! I wish we would just heed the warning voices before tragedy strikes instead of watching youtube video reruns of past warnings and wishing we HAD listened. The time to build an ark isn't when the flood comes... why don't we follow warnings before we run into trouble?

I happen to know a realtor, and we just had a debate a few days ago about this same subject. She was trying to put all of the blame on the government, which I do agree had some part in it. But I also believe that people in general were at fault as well. In my opinion it comes down to greed. If the people would have acted more responsible, I don’t believe we would be in the situation we are currently in.

@Martin... that is so true! As humans, we are so quick to place the blame on others and our never willing to accept our part in it... kind of like the saying about the splinter in someone else's eye without acknowledging the beam in our own.. haha... let's hope responsibility kicks in soon!

It was a good video learning more about a national disater I haven't even heard of before. There were warning signs but people ignored them. Some people learn from other people mistakes but hopefully this wont happen agin.

People ignore the warning signs for most things, and then question why everything is happening. Part is the government and other factors, but a lot of it is us, but we as humans are not at fault, we have to blame something/somebody else. I do hope that people will wake up to their own faults, and responsibilities.

Very good videos, informing and interesting. It's awful how far off and just dead wrong Bernanke was about the Housing Bubble issues. And Krugman had it all right, I got a laugh when he said "Bubblishious regions of the country". He made some very good, dead on predictions and unfortunately most of them came true, i wish people would've listened and done something before things got so out of hand but that's just another mistake we have to learn from.
