I honestly did not know trees had such a big impact on the environment/climate; or that it could cause so much devastation. You would think over time people would learn from their mistakes.
@Martin... I totally agree! Once that youtube video we saw in class pointed out how a lot of main disasters were related to cutting down trees... it really made me think, and it was weird to see that they were right. And sadly... we still haven't learned from our mistakes.
Well we are slowly learning from our mistakes, there are several reforestation projects going on now all over the world. And somehow we need to be able to compensate for every tree we do cut down, and replant just as much as we remove. Because its not like we can stop, but we should be able to recognize where trees are needed and if where they are at if they are of benifit to us protection wise. And before watching this video i had no idea that trees were this important to us, or that in areas around the coast that they were providing protection..its amazing. But i do think people are beginning to understand, and slowly but surely trees are being replanted.

Trees are not something we think about, but really without them there wouldn't be human life. It is mind boggling to think about how much trees impact our lives and what they do for us. Sadly, many people don't care about trees, or they take them for granted, when in all actuality without trees, life is diminishing.
The air quality in a environment where there are tree's is way better then where there is not. Tree's provide us with more then we can imagine. I believe ignorance and greed has a lot to do with why we still cut down more then we should.Think about the places where there are few trees and how the air quality is there. Central Park in N.Y is a example of the differences tree's makes to the city.

I agree to I couldn't belive this was caused becaused they tore up the grown and the drought.
